There are not many posts on stone chip repair on the site in part because Peter does not repair very many, but also because they are difficult to photograph. Here is one done recently on a one week old Zafira.
The first shot actually shows the stone chip with some primer in as the plain picture did not come out, but it shows the shape. The chip was about 5mm long and 1.5mm wide.
The second shot shows the repair close up. The finger is pointing at the repair which is just visable at a distance of about 20cm.
The third shot shows the bonnet from eye level at a normal viewing distance of about 75cm and is invisible.
This is what is possible, given Peters expertise and a couple of hours!
